Rating by category:
Location is good, near metro station and carrefour supermarket. Hotel staff are friendly. Facilities are new and room is clean, triple room include bathtub.
Paris hotels are expensive.
Location is excellent, Elevator is really small as mentioned by others. Staff is really helpful! Expensive for the quality/amenities.
The location was excellent. Close to the Vaugirard Metro station and walking distance from Rue du commerce where there are plenty of shops. Nearby, you can find many coffee shops as well
Room too small- the standard "Paris rooms" where 2 people hardly fit with 1 suitcase cause there is no space for a second one.
Location: in the middle of a residential area, far from tourists. Staff: very kind and welcoming, good English. Room: family room was spacious (compared to Parisian standards), and was recently renovated. Bathroom felt new. Boulangerie two steps away at the corner. Children's playground nearby.
Family rooms are overlooking a stone wall. Very small lift. Some of the floors were being renovated during our stay. These were not significant issues and we knew them before arrival thanks to Booked.net!
Very good location, in a residential and quiet neighborhood, close to the underground. The room was very spacious and quiet. Good breakfast.
1. Our room did not have any view on the street but on a wall. We would prefer having a room with a view. 2.There were work in progress in the hotel-building and there was much dust on the carpet on the stairs and walls of the hotel-hall.
Views of Eiffel Tower, comfortable rooms.
Noise of decoration work outside and next door to room.
Location was excellent, coming out of the hotel and seeing the effiel tower outside the hotel.
Breakfast was very busy, there was not enough tables for the amount of people staying there.
Visited many tourist sites. Close proximity to Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Metro to enable you to see all the sites easily.
Google maps sent us to a hotel the other side of the city completely. Not the hotels fault but just a warning to other travellers using Google maps.
The hotel is in nice and quiet area. It is clean, nice and helpful staff. The breakfast is decent. It is partialy renovated and for us was perfect for few days in Paris. It is closed to metro station, a lot of good restaurants in the neighbourhood.
market is just close by and walking distance to eiffel tower
internet says it's 10 minute walk to eiffel tower but it's more than 30 minutes, smell of paint was suffocating but probably would be gone after couple of days
The staff were pleasant.
The hotel seemed to be going under some renovation. There were wires hanging out of the wall, light fittings too aswell as painting and plastering work half done.. There were work men there through the day. Most unusual that this would be going on while paying guests were staying!! The room was ok but feel it was not value for money.
within walking distance to most of the place we wanted to visit during our stay in Paris
The lift was just to small & the breakfast did not have a big enough variety of food on offer. (not hot food)
The staff spoke English and they were helpful. We had a big room and we were able to see the Eiffel Tower from our balcony. The hotel was close to a metro station.
The hotel was under construction. It was difficult to move in the corridors because they were painting the walls and doing some electric work.
The staff of the hotel is extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend the shuttle service from and to the airport. A great economy comapred to a taxi! The hotel fullfilled all our expectations. The room and bathroom was extremely clean. Even the room was extremely small all important facilities where proposed: free internet, save, showergel and hair dryer, tea and coffee facilities and minibar.
In general the 2-3* Hotels in Paris offer very small rooms, a very small bathroom. It was the same for Val Girard. Compared to other countries the rate might seem expensive for the type of room offered. But I know about 15 Hotels in France and it's the same all over the countre. France is expensive comared to other countries.
The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel wasn't even a 5 min walk from 'Vaugirard' metro, which made it really easy to get into the centre of the city. The room was very clean and although a bit small, was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We've enjoyed the stay very much and recommend it.
The lift is extremely small as others have mentioned in their reviews but hey, it works and it's very cozy! It also needs some finishing touches on the walls, carpets, but all this in the corridors because the bedroom was absolutely fine. Honestly, it was a very good quality/money deal.
